Louise is our accounting guru and feels a sense of satisfaction in all its precision. It should come as little surprise that she’s attracted to gardening. Whether working flowers or vegetables, Louise thrives on the exactness of labeled rows so many inches apart with seeds planted just the right depth in the soil; she is our goddess of the garden.

These days, Louise’s need for precision is kept in check by her grandsons. But that doesn’t mean she’s lost her sense of adventure; she’s igniting it in them. She shows them books about trees, bugs and birds and then takes them into the forest to check them out firsthand. That’s our kind of grandma!
